Graduate Students
Information for
New (September 2009) Graduate Students (updated July 2, 2009).
- Orientation for new Chemical Engineering
graduate students entering Fall quarter 2009 will be at 10 a.m. on
Friday,
September 4, 2009 in room 106 Stocker Center. In addition to
the orientation session, which will take from 1.5 to 2 hours, there will be
short computer programming and statistics placement tests. It is not
necessary to prepare for these tests. They just help us to determine
appropriate coursework for you.
- Also please check the
Graduate College
website
for new student information and any orientations and testing information
that they have. New graduate students, particularly international
students, are required to arrive on campus no later than about a week before
the start of class to attend university orientations and to take English
placement tests, if needed.
- Newly arriving graduate students, both U.S.
and International, should check in with the ChBE main office (room 171
Stocker Center) as soon as possible after arriving on campus and after
you've checked in with International Student and Faculty Services to let us know
you're here.
Graduate students beginning their studies in
Summer quarter should contact the
graduate chair directly at any time and certainly before the quarter begins
for information and instructions.
