2002 Rest Stop
Home Up

On the way to Guadelupe Mountains and Carlsbad Caverns National Parks, a rest stop was needed.  Such things are few and far between in this part of the country, so you take them where you find them.  Our stop is chronicled here for posterity.

This particular gas station was along US routes 62 and 180 at the turn off for Dell City.

The yellow sign says "Truck Stop," and it was open and had gas, food, and beer to go.

As we stretched our legs, some of us threw rocks into the wilderness.

Sometimes we have to be careful not to have too much fun.

This vantage point allows you to take in the whole scene.
