| La Mesilla, often called Old Mesilla, is a
small "suburb" of Las Cruces that was actually there first and is now known most
for its old Spanish public square, around which are a number of shops,
boutiques, and restaurants. It's a required stop for any visit to Las
Cruces. |

| If we were together eating, you can be sure that it
got photographed. |

 |
| This is not a photo of anything in La Mesilla.
But on our way back afterwards, this truck pulling a trailer full of
soft drink cans went by, and we simply HAD to follow it to get some
photos. You know how it is. |
