Doughnuts 2010
Home Up

We found this place last year.  We happened to spend an overnight on our way to Las Cruces in Benson, Arizona.  On the morning of our departure, we did a quick google search to see what donut shops might be around, and lo and behold, there was one just a stone's throw from our hotel.  More importantly, it was said to have the best apple fritters "on earth."  So, of course, we had to check it out.  It turned out to be everything that reviewer said it was and more.

So, this year, it just so happened that we were once again passing by Benson at an appropriate time to stop for donuts.  This time, it was about 9:30 a.m. on a Sunday morning, and Benson Donuts was doing non-stop business.  A stop here is strongly recommended if you are ever passing by.  Exit 304 off of I-10, go south about 1/2 mile.  It's on the left.

There it is!  Quiet, unobtrusive, and sandwiched right between a Texaco station and a Chevron station (to the right and can't be seen here).
The first two under the "FANCY" section are all you need to know.  Try either one, and you'll be walking on air the rest of the day.
There they are.  A group of Ohio University students and faculty walking on air.
